Join the VMF Team! UPDATE: APPLICATIONS CLOSED

Since 2016, VMF has been demonstrating the transformative power of art in our city. There has been no time like our present experience to be investing in safe, vibrant public spaces and experiences which allow us to come together as we push through the current health pandemic. 

The VMF team and I are all extremely grateful to continue demonstrating the resilience of arts and culture at this time. In kicking off 2021, we’re sharing two new roles within our staff team: Technical Manager and Project Manager; two Board positions: Non-Profit Strategy and Legal/Policy/Risk; promoting our 2021 Artist application for the Vancouver Mural Festival; and recruiting two Guest Curators to join our team. 

2021 is going to be a year of patience, hope, and if we’re fortunate, the year we see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. We’ve missed a lot of things since the beginning of lockdowns -- jobs, colleagues, family, friends, and even a smile from strangers on the streets. And, more than anything, gathering together in celebration and taking in the finest of Vancouver’s festivals. Last year we all pivoted, and this year we’ll be experimenting, planning, and producing experiences to the best of our abilities within the Covid-safety protocols. 

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. We miss seeing you in the streets, but as we roll out another year supporting artists to transform our urban spaces, you know that when we gather again that alleys, plazas and buildings big and small will be bursting with the creative spirits of our communities.
