Join official VMF mural tour guides, DeTours, for free guided walking tours throughout the 2020 festival (Daily at 2pm and 4pm from Aug 18 – Sept 7). Explore some of the brand new murals as they come to life over the 3 week festival, as well as artistic highlights from previous years. Learn about the social history of Mt Pleasant and how it became the hub for this community-driven public art festival. Hear how arts and culture are being used to foster tangible processes of decolonization and reconciliation with murals, youth programs, and special projects. And see how the Vancouver Mural Festival adapted its format to provide public art programming in these strange new times.
