VMF WINTER ARTS IS AN AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) SERIES TRANSFORMING PUBLIC SPACE IN VANCOUVER

In a year marked by social distancing, VMF reimagined creative new ways to safely connect while supporting local artists and communities.

In spring 2020, VMF brightened streets and inspired hope with over 60 murals on boarded up storefronts for #MakeArtWhileApart. In the summer, VMF expanded to 9 neighbourhoods with a reimagined festival featuring 60+ murals and a 3 week live performance series. More than ever, we’ve seen how public art plays an important role in connecting people and communities.

Now, for winter 2021, get ready to experience the city like never before with VMF Winter Arts! Blurring the line between the real and virtual world, VMF Winter Arts will transform public space across the core of Vancouver into an interactive, open-air gallery featuring Augmented Reality art to safely engage, connect and inspire.

Presented in collaboration with the Downtown Vancouver BIA.
