The Holden Courage Graffiti Jam is held annually at VMF in memory of Holden Courage, a local artist who died in 2015 at the age of 21. Graffiti was a major part of Holden’s life; he was happiest when he was painting. This event celebrates that joy by showcasing the incredible skill and expression of graffiti. Holden’s family is pleased to continue his legacy by financially supporting young graffiti writers through the Holden Courage Memorial Fund for Artists.
This year, in collaboration with East Van Jam, Summit Labels, and Vancouver graffiti legend Jnasty we’ve created a limited edition private label “Blackberry Graffiti Jam” you can purchase on-site! That’s right, spread some "graf jam" on that GF toast. You can also consider making a donation of $25 or more and receive a charitable tax receipt.
Find us Saturday August 6th from 2pm-8pm & Sunday August 7th 11am-5pm in the N/W parking lot at Main Alley & E 5th Ave. Wander down the alley from the City Centre Hub to find food, music, seating and live painting by 5 of Vancouver's best graffiti artists at the 5th annual Holden Courage Graffiti Jam. On Sunday we will also have the Burnaby Art Gallery "BAG on A Bike" mobile printing press joining us to make art prints!
